For there is hope of a tree, if
it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof
will not cease. Job 14 vs 7
There are times in life when giving up
seems like the best thing to do. It may be by reason of a promise long overdue,
a situation that just looks to become only worse or something that common sense
knows and says is impossible. There is always need however to stand up as a
child of God and fight your way out because at the end of the tunnel there is a
light, there is sunshine out of every sea and a valley after every mountain.
I know very well that there is something that has been troubling you because it has been going on for as long as you can remember but it has resisted every effort you have put in to deal with it. It is something you were born with: science and medicine says it is irreversible. I know very well that there is a big mistake that you made in the past and you are certain that there is no way around it. You wake up every day to the loud cries of your fatherless child and you keep on regretting why you got into the relationship that left you with a child you cannot fend for, the father plainly and blatantly refused responsibility of that pregnancy after you informed him and now you have been left to regret ever having that child and you don’t see yourself worthy to have any other stable relationship in your life. Everyone seems to be ignoring you or hating you for the mistake, ou cannot even find any valid reason to continue living and you have been thinking for sometime to commit suicide and call it quits on this life. Child of God I am writing this to tell you that you cannot afford to give up. God is still alive and He still loves you. His love for you is too big and perfect that it cannot at anytime be tainted by a mistake you made no-matter how big it can be. He is the same yesterday, today and forever and He is constant and consistent in loving you. He said in Job 14 vs 7 that there is hope for a tree that if it is cut down it will sprout again. There is hope for your life, there is hope for your marriage, there is hope for your business, there is hope for your education, after it is cut down, it will sprout again. I know that God can still raise a new spouse for you, I know that God can raise up someone who will pay all the school fees for you, I know that God can raise up someone who will offer you capital, I know that God can raise up someone who will help you pay your debts. If God raised up Jesus to pay for a debt of your sin, He can raise up someone to pay that enormous bill you owe, if God sent a widow to feed Elijah, He can raise up a philanthropist to pay your school fees, if He raised up a Moses to draw water for Jethro’s daughters, God can definitely raise up a man to buy you that food for your children. If God raised up a David to fight the giant for his nation, God can surely raise up a warrior who will fight your battles for you. He has done it before, He can do it now and He will continue doing it. I know that God is able, all you have to do is to hold on in faith, contend for your faith and never let go of it. I remember a man in the Bible whose name was Abraham. His situation was probably worse than yours; it was a hopeless situation. More than 70years old and the man was childless; the Bible says his body was dead and so was the womb of his wife. God spoke to him in several ways yet he spent more years without even seeing what God had promised him. I know that someone gave you a prophetic word you are looking forward to, but maybe it has been long and there is literally no sign of any improvement. You have settled in your heart to cancel any expectation of it because it has been long but nothing seems to be coming up: hold on, God is doing something in the background, He will bring it to pass in due season if you faint not (Galatians 6v9). The Bible says Abraham in hope hoped against hope, wavered not at the promise of God through unbelief but he was strong in faith giving glory to God. Let not that candle of hope die, you can make it.
There is hope that you will rise
again. The Bible says though a righteous man may fall seven times, he will rise
again (Proverbs 24v16). I don’t know how many times you have failed; God is
still on the throne, with Him you can rise up every time you fall even seven
times. Micah says Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall
arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me (7v8). Do not
give up on your life; God is still on the throne. The pain is greatest when the
breakthrough is near. Labour pains are greatest when the baby is about to come
out, life is toughest when your success is due. I do not want you to give up.
Have you ever noticed how when you are waiting for someone to come, the moment
you decide to phone them to remind them to come for the appointment is usually
the time that person shows up? It is common, giving up seems most sensible when
the reward is nearest. Learn this today: GOD IS NEVER LATE, that mistake can be
solved, your emotions will be restored and joy will be fulfilled. There is hope
for your tree. The Bible says
So do
not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to
persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he
has promised. For, “In just a little while, he who is
coming will come and will not delay. And, “But my
righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one
who shrinks back. ”But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed,
but to those who have faith and are saved. Hebrews 10v35-40 NIV
We are not part of the people who draw
back; if you draw back you only meet destruction. We are only going forward and
we are not giving up. I know you can make it, I know God can push you forward.
When Jesus was praying in Gethsemane the Bible says an angel appeared to Him
and comforted Him and encouraged Him to pray. I know that God can give you this
angel who will give you every reason to dream again. That hope can be imprinted
on your heart until the promise manifests. Everything about you will rise again
and I know that God will see you through, because there is hope of a tree, if
it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof
will not cease.
Jesus is Lord
